The following diagrams show the Balpha Mast lowering on a 6m daysailer with a 7m mast. The trackway is lowered, then the mast lowered. The mast heel slides forward along the trackway as the mast slides through the pivoting collar. To reach the mast horizontal position the trackway is then raised accordingly.
